Power Saving Game for Computer Users in Office

I cannot expect the whole world to change in front of my eyes.

Hmm... Let me start changing. I am not expecting the change from you. But you will definitely change :-)

I have noticed the volunteers - mostly kids or youngsters signalling me to switch on the headlight of my two wheeler - even though it started with reasons like "It gives a wrong signalling , power saving" - it saves our battery life. When this can be brought into a culture, why can't we think of power saving from system usage into culture. If that is the case, why don't we walk in midst of the cubicles and switch off the monitors as a game and walk for the lunch. It is also a good walking exercise & opportunity to socialize. Keep the highest count of monitors you have switched off per month. We should be proud of playing such a game as monitor is the part that consumes maximum power in the computer. This is already explained in one of the presentation from President Abdul Kalam. Even though this is circulated among our friends, we have not done it. If you are the person who liked to hit the stone when you walk - when you were young, you will definitely enjoy this game. Of course, we all walked in a road where there is less traffic and current kids miss this game because of the traffic. We can play this game while going for lunch / returning to home. Let us play, be proud, spread the power saving culture. Let us not spread this link as simply forwarding without following does not help.
